You're in the right place.
Hi, I'm Sophie. At the heart of my approach is a firm belief in an individual’s capacity for growth. My process honours individuality and sessions are tailored to your needs, using a range of strategies for the best outcomes for you personally. I’m here to walk beside you as you navigate your life's challenges and personal growth.
I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association, the largest peak body for counselling and psychotherapy in Australia. I work with adults, teens and kids, including NDIS participants.
Some of my primary focuses are anxiety, grief, and substance abuse/addiction, though I work with people on a range of other life challenges, too.
Appointments are available in-person in Ulladulla and Nowra, or online.
Please get in touch if you are looking to work with someone deeply supportive, but who will also challenge you to help you grow.
The parable
Which wolf do you feed?
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
